South Broadway is the unofficial antique district of Denver. For several blocks, you’ll find antique shops along both sides of the street, appealing to all tastes and interests. A couple of friends are working on a project, and were looking for ideas. I decided to tag along and see what kind of interesting photos I might wind up with. Here are the ones that I liked best. Enjoy. (Click to enlarge and read the captions.)
This is Kitty. She makes some of the most beautiful intimates you will ever see. Some of these mannequins are showing it off. If you’d like to see more, you will find her at 1456 South Broadway, and on Facebook at CRCCrimsonRoseCouture.
Quartet with Observer
This little composition, atop a display case, captivated me. I dig everything about it. The twin triangle forms. All those light, thin verticals, offset by the squat, dark pot. And those two contrasting diagonal lines. It’s just lovely.
I love reflections, especially when they can be used to build an artistic abstract.
This mannequin stood outside Kitty’s shop. I was drawn to it by the seemingly relaxed posture of a rigid form, and that wonderful blue, not to mention the marvelous handiwork of the garment, itself.
